Memorial Day

FYI – I received a message today at 1:56 pm from Tom’s wife stating that Tom was injured in Afghanistan and he was flown Med Vac to North Afghanistan. My heart immediately sunk into my stomach. I sent a text back on my phone asking was he OK?, and what the happened to him…
Instead of waiting for a response through text, I decided to call her and get the story direct.
This is what I know at this point, Tom was in a small arms battle. The enemy also used grenades in the transfer of fire. From what I have gathered, Tom may have been hit by both bullet and grenade fragments. I am not 100% sure the extent of his injuries, but I do know that they definitely include his hand and possible his arm.
The good news… if you choose to call it good news, is that the extent of the injury is only being called a <10% disabling injury.
The bad news… he was injured and that this injury does not give Tom a direct ticket home. The biggest problem that I have with this situation is simple. Any amount of disability in my opinion should give any service man or woman a direct ticket home. If we are going to ask the men and women in this country to fight a war they should have every advantage available.
Anyways before I start to rant, I just wanted to let everyone know what is going on and that I will keep everyone updated with any information that I receive.
*Update –
As I am typing this I just received a message stating that Tom was released from the Infirmary and should be heading back to his brigade.

I need some feed back. It seems we cant seem to get anyone to come on anymore. Sundays it just been me a CBR for the most part. What does everyone want in a server to keep you playing here. If its stays empty and no money coming in to support it whats the point? I just need to know what everyone wants. Please respond thanks

Whats your favorite map?

OK... I need to know what everyone’s personal favorite map is, so that I can add them to the server or the mapcycle. I want to keep a rotation of maps that I know everyone will stay on and play. So, help a brother out and give me your favorite maps. In addition, give me suggestions on maps that might bring more traffic to the server.
If you know where I can download the map to add to the server please give me the URL, so that I can DL it and add it.

PS. Just remember if you are requesting a map that is larger than 7mb, I can add it but some players will not wait for a large map to DL. Just food for thought, so let’s try to keep the map files size small. Most of the maps that we have on now are in average size 7mb.

Ladies and gentleman we have made it to the 70th percentile on gametracker .
Thank you all for your support in making this new server the best one we have had yet. People are pooring in for everywhere. This is what this clan needed. With all your help we will be in the 80's soon. Lets see if we can make it by the end of the month. Thanks.

New Home

Well it looks like we have a new home at GameServers…”Woot Woot!” I know that we have had quite a few players on at once to really give the server a thorough test and everything went great. We are still getting the server configurations completed and streamlined. So far, everything looks “Great” for our new home.
I would like to remind everyone that we are still offering $5 Basic Admin and are still looking for contributions from the clan to help keep things up and running. If everything goes well, we are looking at the possibilities of a second server. The format of which is still up in the air at this point. So let everyone know that the “New” server is [66.55.159.72:27015].
Oh and by the way, don’t forget to add people to your friend’s network and invite them into the STEAM [cis] community.
